Hi, I'm Felipe.

iOS Developer based in Porto, Portugal, with 5+ years of experience building native iOS apps using Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit.

 

My path to iOS wasn't exactly a straight line. I started in QA and test automation — and honestly, that background turned out to be one of the best things that happened to my career as a developer. It gave me a genuine obsession with code quality, testability and catching problems before they become problems. Something I still carry into every project.

 

For the past few years I've been working on large-scale production apps. Most recently at Jumia Porto Tech Center, where I helped maintain an iOS app used across multiple African markets — contributing to feature development, legacy code refactoring, MVVM migration, unit test coverage and integrating REST APIs alongside product, design and backend teams.

 

I care about writing code that's clean, maintainable and makes sense six months later. I work well in multicultural, Agile teams and I'm comfortable in English-first environments.

 

Currently based in the Porto area and open to remote opportunities or relocation.
